About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location in Cleveland, Ohio, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the facility. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment. The role requires customer service, clear communication, and collaboration with a reliable team that acts with integrity. The listed schedule is Monday 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. and Tuesday and Wednesday 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

Vaccinations are required for hospital positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and security policies.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate reports about incidents, patrol observations, and security concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.
