About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in Cambridge, Massachusetts, you will safeguard clients and provide customer service while monitoring assigned areas. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and communicate with tenants, visitors, contractors, employees, Allied Universal leadership, and site contacts. The role offers access to a shift-claiming platform and opportunities to explore additional roles.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and contractor activity in accordance with building procedures.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
