About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to support a pharma company healthcare location in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The officer will safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering customer service to employees, visitors, and partners. The role includes carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to incidents and critical situations, and taking part in emergency response activities when appropriate. Work is scheduled Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Starting pay is $22.05 per hour. Paid orientation and training are provided.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license only if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and partners.
Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
