About The Position

Marksman Security is hiring unarmed Security Officers in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. Officers provide a visible, approachable security presence while supporting the safety and visitor experience of the property. The role involves patrols, responding to incidents, coordinating with emergency services when needed, monitoring CCTV with the surveillance team, documenting activity, and helping guests and staff understand property rules and safety procedures. The position requires extended periods of standing, walking, or patrolling, including outdoors in varying weather. Officers must be available to work weekends and holidays, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, and meet the physical essential functions of the job.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Able to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Available to work weekends and holidays.
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle record check, and criminal background check.
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Able to meet the physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, and working in inclement weather.
Must not have face and neck tattoos.
Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

Perform regular foot and vehicle patrols throughout the property.
Assist guests courteously by providing directions, answering questions, and maintaining an approachable presence.
Respond promptly and professionally to disturbances, emergencies, medical situations, and suspicious activity.
Take appropriate action and coordinate with local authorities or emergency services as needed.
Collaborate with the surveillance team to monitor CCTV systems and report irregular activities or safety concerns.
Maintain detailed incident and activity reports, including patrol logs, observed hazards, and guest interactions.
Check doors, windows, lighting, and fire safety equipment to help ensure facilities are secure and operational.
Promote awareness of property rules, safety protocols, and emergency procedures to guests and staff.
Use communication and conflict-resolution skills to peacefully manage disputes involving guests, vendors, or staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
