About The Position

Marksman Security is hiring unarmed Security Officers in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. Officers help maintain property security while providing courteous assistance to guests and supporting a safe, welcoming visitor experience. The role involves patrols, monitoring and reporting safety concerns, responding to incidents, and promoting awareness of property rules and emergency procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle record check, and criminal background check.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to meet the physical essential functions of the job, including lifting 50+ lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, and working in inclement weather.
Must not have face and neck tattoos.
Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

Perform regular foot and vehicle patrols throughout the property.
Assist guests by offering directions, answering questions, and maintaining a visible, approachable presence.
Respond promptly and professionally to disturbances, emergencies, medical situations, or suspicious activity; take appropriate action and coordinate with local authorities or emergency services as needed.
Collaborate with the surveillance team to monitor CCTV systems and report irregular activities or safety concerns.
Maintain detailed incident and activity reports, including patrol logs, observed hazards, and guest interactions.
Check doors, windows, lighting, and fire safety equipment to ensure facilities are secure and operational.
Promote awareness of property rules, safety protocols, and emergency procedures to guests and staff.
Use communication and conflict-resolution skills to peacefully manage difficult situations or disputes involving guests, vendors, or staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
