About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a food and beverage production and distribution location in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. The position has a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours may vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed schedule is Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and the pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, shipping and receiving zones, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain logs for deliveries, contractors, and other site visitors.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
Observe and report unusual conditions, facility hazards, damaged property, and policy violations, and complete clear, timely incident documentation.
