About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol in Carlinville, Illinois, you will serve and safeguard clients in a healthcare setting. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The position includes providing exceptional customer service, communicating professionally, and responding to security-related concerns with integrity. The role is full-time and pays $24.72 per hour. The stated schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures and policies in a healthcare setting.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical-related emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, access control procedures, and reporting unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
