Security Officer Hospital Zoned Patrols
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for hospital patrols in Brooklyn, New York. The officer will safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the hospital environment by maintaining a visible presence, patrolling assigned areas, monitoring access and visitor activity, and supporting a welcoming setting. The role requires customer service, professional communication, and responding to security incidents and emergencies in accordance with site procedures and established protocols. The position pays $18.87 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
Requirements
- Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Must have a valid New York State security guard license.
- Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals at a healthcare location while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or policy violations.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate with supervisors, healthcare staff, and emergency responders about incidents and observed conditions.
