About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer in Jonestown, Pennsylvania, supporting a retail or mall location. The officer will safeguard clients by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and providing customer service to associates, shoppers, tenants, and visitors. The role includes monitoring activity and access points, responding to security concerns and emergencies, and documenting patrols and incidents. The posted schedule is Friday and Saturday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $15.91 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to retail location associates, shoppers, and visitors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, stock areas, entrances, exterior walkways, parking areas, and the business perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity to help deter theft, unauthorized entry, and policy violations.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, communicating with site management and public responders as needed.
Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations in accordance with site procedures.
