About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol security officer to serve and safeguard clients at an apartment community in Washington, DC. The officer will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine and random patrols, respond to concerns, support residents and visitors, and provide customer service. The role requires at least two years of security-related experience. The pay rate is $19.25 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, as permitted by applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and conduct emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
• Monitor and patrol an apartment community, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
• Respond to concerns and support residents and visitors.
• Communicate clearly with the team.
