About The Position

Per Mar Security is hiring part-time Security Officers for high-rise residential properties in the Madison area. The role combines security duties with customer service and concierge assistance. Officers safeguard the client’s premises, welcome and assist residents and guests, provide escorts for vendors and visitors, conduct foot and mobile patrols, restrict access when required, and provide general facility security. This is an unarmed position; officers are not authorized to carry weapons, ammunition, or other protective gear or devices. Concierge responsibilities include responding professionally and warmly to inquiries, offering recommendations for local dining, entertainment, and attractions, assisting with requests such as gift deliveries and restaurant bookings, managing mail and packages, and providing prospective tenants with information about leasing options and amenities. Staff are expected to assist tenants courteously, discreetly, and attentively. The posting identifies 1st- and 2nd-shift concierge coverage, and also describes this particular position as part-time, 1st shift, weekends. Free onsite underground parking is available to staff. Per Mar provides necessary training.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Mature, professional appearance and conduct.
Extensive knowledge of downtown Madison’s entertainment, dining, transportation, parking, parks, and recreation activities.
Extensive and consistent employment in hospitality and/or security.
Must be eligible to obtain a State of Wisconsin Security Officer License.
Must submit to a background check.
Must submit to a pre-employment drug test.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, email, and similar tools.
Ability to walk, sit, and/or stand for 8 hours.

Responsibilities

Assist with guest requests, including gift deliveries and restaurant bookings.
Support administrative functions, including mail and package management.
Provide prospective tenants with information about leasing options and amenities.
Assist tenants courteously, discreetly, and attentively.
