About The Position

Per Mar Security Services, a leading integrated security solutions provider established in 1953, is seeking dedicated individuals for Security Officer positions in the Madison area. As the largest family-owned, full-service security company in the Midwest, Per Mar operates across 25 branches and offers a comprehensive range of services including security officers, smart home automation, alarm systems, access control, security cameras, monitoring, investigations, and background checks. This specific role involves serving as a safeguard for client premises and acting as a customer service representative, performing duties such as foot patrols, restricting access, and providing general security for facilities. The ideal candidates will possess a mature, professional demeanor, extensive knowledge of Madison's downtown lifestyle, and expertise in both hospitality and security operations, particularly for a luxury high-rise environment. Concierge and Security staff are the primary point of contact for residents and guests, offering personalized assistance and recommendations.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Present a mature, professional appearance.
Extensive knowledge of downtown Madison’s entertainment, dining, transportation, parking, parks, and recreation activities.
Extensive and consistent employment in hospitality and/or security.
Must be eligible to obtain a State of Wisconsin Security Officer License.
Must submit to a background check.
Must submit to a pre-employment drug test.
Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, email, etc.
Must be able to walk, sit, and/or stand for 8 hours.

Responsibilities

Serve as a safeguard for the client’s premises and as customer service representatives.
Provide escorts for vendors and visitors.
Conduct foot patrols.
Restrict access as required.
Provide general security for the facility.
Welcome tenants and guests, respond to inquiries with professionalism and warmth.
Assist with tailored recommendations for local dining, entertainment, and attractions.
Assist with guest requests such as gift deliveries, restaurant bookings, and more.
Support administrative functions, including mail and package management.
Provide information to prospective tenants regarding leasing options and amenities.
Assist tenants in a courteous, discreet, and attentive manner at all times.
