About The Position

Per Mar Security Services is hiring experienced Security Officers in the Council Bluffs area. This is a full-time position working Friday through Sunday, with scheduled hours on Fridays and Saturdays from midnight to 6:00 a.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The starting pay is $18.50 per hour. Applicants must have a clean background and be able to pass a drug test. The role reports to the Site Supervisor.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be familiar with security equipment.
• Be able to handle the physical workload.
• Have strong attention to detail.
• Have a clean background and pass a drug test and background investigation as part of the pre-employment screening process.
• Possess integrity, communication, excellent service, and accountability.

Nice To Haves

• Previous security officer experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule infractions.
• Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure they function properly and are secure.
• Warn violators about premises rules and regulations.
• Address people engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Report facility issues.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
