About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Screening in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a dynamic technology location, you will support access screening and visitor processing, monitor entry activity, and help to deter incidents through a visible, professional presence. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and collaborate with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with site access requirements and established screening procedures.
  • Verify credentials, identification, and authorization for entry; maintain accurate visitor and access-related records as required by site policy.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
