About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Command Center Dispatcher in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at an educational location, you will coordinate security-related communications, monitor incoming calls and alarms, document incidents, and dispatch personnel to support campus operations. You will provide exceptional customer service while helping maintain a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and campus stakeholders while following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch routine and emergency calls for service to appropriate personnel using established communication protocols.
• Monitor communication systems, alarms, and other security-related technology; document incidents, requests, and response activity accurately.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and support as needed.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with field personnel, emergency responders, and campus departments to support timely response activities.
