As a Security Officer Part Time Communications Dispatcher in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least two years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification and First Aid experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and client representatives while following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
  • Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, and routine requests to appropriate personnel using radio, telephone, and computer-aided dispatch systems.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating communications with campus resources and emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Monitor security-related systems, cameras, access-control alerts, and communications channels; document activities, incidents, and dispatch actions accurately.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with field personnel and provide timely updates to support emergency response activities and daily campus operations.
