About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer in Wilmington, Delaware. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The designated weekly shift requires a six-month commitment; additional shifts can be picked up across multiple sites, with the possibility of building up to 40 hours per week.

The schedule listed is Tuesday and Wednesday, 7:00 AM–7:15 PM. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour. The officer provides customer service, conducts patrols, responds to incidents, monitors activity, and completes required documentation in accordance with site procedures and policies.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Respond calmly and constructively to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and promptly.
