About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer in Austin, Texas, serving a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The role involves monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and supporting access control and alarm response. The officer provides customer service and clear communication while helping create a welcoming environment. The posted schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4:30 PM to 12:30 AM. Pay is $22.28 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, service requests, and critical situations in accordance with established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or maintenance concerns, and document incidents according to site procedures.
Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.
