About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer for a government site in Costa Mesa, California. The role serves and safeguards clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate. The officer also responds calmly to incidents and critical situations and conducts regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

The position pays $24.50 per hour and is full-time. Applicants must have at least two years of security experience. Employment is conditional on applicable background investigation and drug screening, and licensing may be required under state or local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
