About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Authorization for an assigned government transportation facility in Rosedale, NY. The role provides a dependable fixed weekly schedule, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The assigned anchor shift requires a six-month commitment, and additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $18.87 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday and Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public at a government transportation facility while following site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, process visitors, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records according to location policies.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Monitor entry and exit areas, vehicle gates, and assigned public-facing locations for unauthorized access, unusual activity, and policy violations, using a professional presence to help deter unauthorized entry.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, as applicable.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, and security-related observations to site leadership.
