About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer to provide hospital access control in Brunswick, Ohio. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. The role involves clear communication, professional responses to situations, and supporting a caring environment through teamwork and integrity. The listed schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach while following facility protocols.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, hazards, or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
Provide directions and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff to support a professional, welcoming environment.
