About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Atlanta, Georgia, to safeguard clients and help maintain a secure environment. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, conducts routine patrols, remains visible to deter incidents, responds to alarms and access-control needs, and provides customer service. The role calls for communication and technology skills and offers access to the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. The schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday, 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour. Employment is conditional on applicable background and drug screening requirements; licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Complete a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Complete a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience.
Access control and badge experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
Monitor assigned areas and respond to alarms and access-control needs.
