About The Position

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Westminster St. Augustine, a Life Plan Community in World Golf Village. The officer helps guard community property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. The role also involves interacting with residents and assisting staff with residents’ needs as needed. The position works evenings from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. and carries out delegated security duties under the supervision of the Maintenance Director, in accordance with organizational rules, policies, standards, and guidelines.

Requirements

One to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
CPR certification.
First Aid certification.
Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
Ability to perform the stated physical activities, including lifting up to 40 pounds.

Carry out delegated security duties under the supervision of the Maintenance Director.
Perform security officer duties regularly within a reasonable scope of practice, helping protect property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
Interact with residents and assist staff in meeting residents’ needs as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
