About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for a designated site in Watsonville, California. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to increase hours up to 40 per week, with the ability to scale back. The role supports site security through customer service, credential verification, access control, patrols, incident response, and reporting. Pay is $23.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, as a condition of employment and in accordance with applicable law.
• Submit to a drug screen, as a condition of employment and to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the utilities location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations, following established post orders and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, utility-related facilities, business areas, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control events in required reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
