About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced Security Officer for gatehouse security at an assigned food and beverage production facility in Frankfort, Indiana. The position provides a fixed weekly schedule of designated “anchor shifts,” requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The role pays $15.00 per hour.

The Security Officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include checking authorization at facility access points, maintaining records, responding to concerns and incidents, and conducting patrols of facility areas.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals, vehicles, deliveries, and contractors entering or leaving the facility.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, delivery, and access records according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations; escalate matters to appropriate site contacts or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and facility grounds to help deter unauthorized activity.
