About The Position

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises, controlling access, and patrolling a variety of locations. The officer preserves order by enforcing regulations and directives at client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

This is a full-time, temporary role based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on a nine-week contract. The schedule consists of four 12-hour shifts. The wage is $20.00 per hour, with eight hours of overtime noted. The posting also lists $110 per day for room and $68 per day for food.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Above-average computer and technology skills.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Great attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant throughout the shift.
• Professional demeanor.
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid, effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
• Willingness to participate in the company's pre-employment screening process, including a drug screen and background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain a level 1 guard card.

• Security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
• Interact frequently with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, and suspicious activity.
• Follow all post orders and complete assigned rounds.
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and guests.
• Use technology devices throughout the shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Monitor equipment, tools, and materials while crews are away from the job site.
• Carry out other tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.
