About The Position

As a Security Officer Licensed Unarmed Tour Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or public agency contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, verify authorized entry when required, and assist with directing visitors, deliveries, and/or contractors in accordance with location protocols.
  • Support a respectful environment by observing resident and visitor activity, reporting maintenance or welfare-related concerns to appropriate personnel, and following post orders related to government facility operations.
