As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control activities, and remain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a government services location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter spaces, with working conditions that may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help to deter unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or other concerning behavior.
  • Support staff, visitors, and/or occupants by providing directions, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and following post orders related to daily operations and emergency situations.
