Security Officer - Second Shift
About The Position
As a Security Officer Roving Patrol in Minooka, Illinois, you will safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. In this unarmed patrol role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide customer service, communicate clearly, document observations, and represent Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity. This is a full-time position paying $17.50 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Have a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and delivery credentials, and direct drivers and guests according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
- Accurately document patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
