About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Unarmed Patrol Driver Security Officer for an assigned retail site in Merced, California. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, while allowing the officer to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may enable the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed rate is $19.00 per hour, and the scheduled shift is Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service and carries out security procedures and site-specific policies. Duties include responding professionally to incidents and concerns, conducting foot and vehicle patrols, observing and reporting unusual activity and hazards, assisting with access control and delivery verification, and maintaining a visible presence to deter theft and unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badge systems.
• Customer service experience.
• A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates while following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally using problem-solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout sales areas, parking areas, receiving zones, and the perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Assist with access control and delivery verification.
• Maintain a professional presence that helps deter theft and unauthorized activity.
