About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a retail location in San Francisco, California. The position provides a fixed weekly schedule at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to the designated shifts. The officer may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust hours as needed. The role pays $26.00 per hour.

The scheduled shifts are Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Duties include providing customer service, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring activity, responding to incidents, and documenting security-related events. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor customer and employee activity, observe suspicious behavior or potential policy violations, and report observations to appropriate site contacts or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established site procedures.
• Accurately document incidents, patrols, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to store management, law enforcement, emergency responders, or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
