About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Officer at a higher education location on Temple Main Campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, you will help safeguard the campus by conducting patrols, monitoring access points, and assisting students, faculty, staff, and visitors professionally. You will support a welcoming campus environment through customer service and clear communication while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. The listed schedule is Wednesday from 10:15 PM to 6:45 AM and Friday from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM. The pay rate is $17.25 per hour.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, if required.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow campus protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with campus personnel, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.
