About The Position

As a full-time unarmed Security Officer conducting protection patrols at a government location in Albuquerque, New Mexico, you will help safeguard clients, employees, visitors, and members of the public. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through customer service, clear communication, timely reporting, integrity, and teamwork. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Pay is $16.43 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while following site-specific security procedures and policies at government facilities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations; report unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and remain aware of visitor and contractor activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response protocols.
Accurately document patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
