About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Reception Operations at a commercial real estate location in Jacksonville, Florida, you will serve as a welcoming and professional presence for tenants and visitors. You will manage access, monitor entry activity, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. The role is part of Allied Universal’s team, guided by a culture of care, teamwork, reliability, innovation, and integrity. The scheduled hours are Thursdays and Fridays, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The position pays $20.00 per hour. Part-time officers can use the Claim a Shift platform to explore and claim additional shifts. The role includes paid training and access to career growth opportunities.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property personnel while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain visitor and contractor logs.
Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other assigned systems; report unusual activity, access concerns, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations, following established response procedures.
Assist with tenant and visitor inquiries, provide directions within the commercial property, and help maintain an orderly, professional lobby environment.
