About The Position

KRE Security, LLC is hiring a dependable, full-time Gate Security Officer for a permanent overnight assignment in Reading, Pennsylvania. The role focuses on access control, facility monitoring, and maintaining a professional security presence in a structured gatehouse environment. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Friday through Sunday, from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Paid training is provided, and overtime may be available. The assignment offers a stable schedule, clear post orders, consistent duties, and potential for growth within KRE Security.

The officer monitors and controls access at the facility gate, verifies identification, applies site entry protocols, maintains traffic logs, conducts periodic checks, and observes and reports safety or security concerns. The role also involves responding to incidents according to post orders and completing activity and incident reports using assigned systems.

Compensation is $17.00 per hour. PTO accrual of up to 40 hours begins after a 60-day probationary period. Blue Cross health insurance for the employee only is available after a 60-day probationary period. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods.
• Ability to sit, stand, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass a background check.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
