About The Position

KRE Security, LLC is hiring a dependable full-time Gate Security Officer for a permanent overnight assignment in Reading, Pennsylvania. The role focuses on access control, facility monitoring, and maintaining a professional security presence in a structured gatehouse environment. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

The officer monitors and controls access at the facility gate, verifies identification, and approves or denies entry according to site protocols. The role also includes maintaining traffic logs, communicating professionally with visitors and personnel, checking the gate area and surrounding property, observing and reporting safety or security concerns, responding to incidents according to post orders, and completing activity and incident reports using assigned systems.

Compensation is $17.00 per hour. Paid training is provided, and overtime may be available. The position offers a long-term assignment opportunity, clear post orders, supportive supervision, and a structured, professional work environment. PTO accrual of up to 40 hours and employee-only Blue Cross health insurance begin after a 60-day probationary period.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods.
• Ability to sit, stand, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass a background check.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities
