Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Hold CPR Certification, preferred.
- Hold CPR/First Aid Certification, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and program participants by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
- Help maintain a welcoming and professional environment for individuals receiving services while communicating observations, hazards, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
