As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of educational buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific requirements, and report access concerns or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
