About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a gated residential community in Mission Viejo, California. The officer will help safeguard residents, visitors, vendors, and property through routine patrols, a visible security presence, access-control support, and responsive customer service. The role involves using communication and computer skills to document observations and address concerns professionally. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.50 per hour. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Applicable state or local licensing requirements may apply.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Experience with access control and badge procedures.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random vehicle and/or foot patrols through residential areas, parking locations, common spaces, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific policies.
Document and report incidents, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, contacting emergency services and/or site contacts when appropriate.
Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation accurately.
Communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
