About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer at a gated residential community in Newport Coast, California, you will manage entry points, verify authorized access, and assist residents, visitors, and vendors professionally. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, communicate clearly, and support a welcoming residential environment. The role includes access control, patrols, incident response, and communication with site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if the position requires driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and guests while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for residents, guests, deliveries, and vendors, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entry points, and the property perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
Observe site activity, enforce access-control procedures, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership to help maintain a professional residential environment.
