As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Panel Monitoring in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working collaboratively with Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative team and acting with integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying authorization and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
