About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Panel Operator for an assigned site in Patterson, California. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, and the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Candidates may build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The listed schedule is Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The pay rate is $18.80 per hour.

The officer provides customer service while performing site-specific access control and emergency response at a manufacturing and industrial location. Duties include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, keeping access records, controlling access to restricted areas, responding to alarms and incidents, and conducting patrols.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with access control and badge systems.
• Experience with alarm panels.
• Possession of a guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees while following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Control access to restricted areas, loading docks, warehouse spaces, and office areas in accordance with site policies.
• Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report security-related concerns and deter unauthorized access.
