About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Incident Documentation in Atlanta, Georgia, you will serve and safeguard clients at a government location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond professionally to security-related concerns, and communicate with visitors, staff, and public-service partners while delivering customer service. This is a part-time position scheduled for daytime shifts on Mondays and Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at a rate of $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• X-ray screening experience.
• Customer service experience.
• A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor records, and help protect restricted government areas and property.
• Prepare accurate reports and logs about patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related observations in accordance with site policies.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
