Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Coordination
About The Position
As a full-time unarmed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location in De Soto, Kansas, you will help safeguard the site and provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help deter incidents, manage access points, and support a welcoming environment. The role involves responding to incidents and alarms, communicating professionally, and following site-specific policies and security procedures. Pay is $22.28 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any state or local licensing requirements that may apply before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs.
- Experience with access control and badges.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions or security concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures to help maintain authorized access.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and document observations and notifications according to established procedures.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, and complete required reports, logs, and other security documentation.
