About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a customer service desk at a commercial real estate location in Leawood, Kansas. The officer serves as a welcoming presence while supporting access control, visitor management, and security-related communications. The role uses computer or tablet systems to document activity, assist tenants and guests, and help maintain a professional environment. The listed pay rate is $18.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday 7:00 AM–11:00 AM, Tuesday 11:00 AM–6:00 PM, Wednesday 7:00 AM–2:00 PM, Thursday 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, and Friday 2:00 PM–6:00 PM.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at the commercial real estate front desk while following site-specific procedures and security policies.
Greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain visitor and contractor records.
Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from the front desk, and report unusual activity according to site procedures.
Respond professionally and calmly to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations, coordinating with building management or emergency responders as needed.
Answer and direct phone calls, provide general building information, and maintain a welcoming presence in the lobby.
