About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer for a shipping facility in Los Angeles, California. The officer monitors security systems and video feeds to identify suspicious activity, document events, respond to incidents, and help protect people and property. The schedule is Wednesday through Friday and Sunday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The position is full-time and pays $19.69 per hour. Uniforms are provided at no cost.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Hold a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and complete additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement in serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
