About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a biopharmaceutical healthcare location in San Diego, California. This overnight patrol-driving position involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing customer service and communication. The officer supports a caring environment and represents Allied Universal through teamwork and integrity. The role is full-time, scheduled Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, at a rate of $23.18 per hour.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and critical situations, following established protocols for a healthcare and life sciences location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, and perimeter; document observations and report unusual activity.
- Monitor access points and support visitor, employee, and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
- Help maintain a professional, controlled environment while supporting applicable regulatory and confidentiality expectations.
