About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for an unarmed overnight patrol driving post at a healthcare location in Elkton, Maryland. The officer will safeguard the client, conduct patrols, monitor access and visitor activity, respond to incidents, and help maintain a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role requires a valid driver’s license and pays $17.50 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific procedures, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established protocols and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with healthcare and medical-device facility requirements.
