About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Roanoke, Virginia, you will help safeguard clients at a retail location by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing customer service and communication. This is a driving position that supports a welcoming environment through teamwork and integrity. The position is full-time and pays $17.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m., and Friday and Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and associates by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and constructively to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas.
Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted activity.
Support access control and traffic flow at designated entrances, exits, and receiving areas.
Maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
