About The Position

Citadel Security USA is hiring a professional and attentive Unarmed Lobby Security Officer for an assigned location in Columbia, Missouri. This part-time role combines lobby monitoring, visitor assistance, access management, and routine security patrols. The officer helps maintain a secure, organized, and welcoming environment through prevention, awareness, clear communication, and timely reporting. The position does not require carrying a firearm or having a driver's license. The role is available on either a Saturday–Sunday day shift from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or an overnight shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with each option totaling 24 hours per week.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1–2 years of professional security experience.
Strong communication, observation, and customer service skills.
Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions during unexpected situations.
Ability to complete written reports and maintain accurate visitor records.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a shift.
Ability to patrol indoor and outdoor areas, including stairways, elevators, and emergency exits.
Ability to recognize unusual activity and respond promptly to potential emergencies.
Sufficient visual and auditory awareness to monitor surroundings and identify potential security concerns.
Availability to work one of the listed Saturday–Sunday shifts.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
Previous experience in lobby security, visitor management, or access control.
Familiarity with CCTV systems, alarms, visitor logs, and electronic reporting tools.
Experience assisting the public while maintaining security procedures and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

Maintain an attentive presence in the lobby and help ensure visitors follow established entry procedures.
Check identification when required, issue visitor badges, and accurately record arrivals and departures.
Conduct foot patrols of assigned indoor and outdoor areas to identify suspicious activity, unauthorized access, hazards, or unusual conditions.
Observe CCTV feeds and respond appropriately to alarms or access-control alerts in accordance with post orders.
Provide directions, answer routine questions, and assist visitors and staff courteously while maintaining appropriate security boundaries.
Respond calmly to disturbances, suspicious behavior, and other incidents, using professional communication and de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
Follow emergency procedures, notify appropriate personnel, and contact emergency responders when necessary.
Apply established policies, site procedures, and post orders consistently and respectfully.
Complete accurate reports covering patrols, visitor activity, unusual observations, incidents, and policy violations.
Help prevent unauthorized entry and remain alert around stairways, elevators, emergency exits, and other access points.
Promptly report safety concerns, irregularities, and incidents to supervisors.
Protect confidential information, remain observant throughout the shift, and represent Citadel Security USA with courtesy and integrity.
